LaMyia Hayes

LaMyia Hayes is beginning her 10th year as an educator, bringing a decade of teaching experience and a genuine love for helping children learn, grow, and discover who they are. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels supported, valued, and excited to learn.

LaMyia believes children learn best when they are given opportunities to explore, create, move, and experience learning hands-on. Her classroom is filled with sensory experiences, art projects, interactive activities, creativity, and, of course, constant laughter. She believes learning should be meaningful and fun and isn’t afraid of a little mess when it means her students are engaged, exploring, and making memories along the way.

At the heart of LaMyia’s teaching philosophy is the belief that every child deserves to be met exactly where they are. She enjoys working with children with diverse learning needs and focuses on recognizing each child’s individual strengths, building meaningful relationships, and helping them grow at their own pace.

Outside of the classroom, LaMyia is a proud mom of two who enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, gardening, reading, and finding new creative projects and activities. She is also a big Taylor Swift fan and can usually find a reason to turn just about anything into a creative project.

For LaMyia, teaching is about much more than academics-- it’s about building relationships, encouraging individuality, creating meaningful experiences, and giving children a safe and supportive place to learn, grow, laugh, and be completely themselves.
